We are committed to taking every necessary step to ensure that the students we are transporting arrive safely and happily to their destination. Our team is comprised of passionate community members dedicated to a safe, secure, and enjoyable busing experience for all students. Our owners are actively involved in the business on a daily basis and communicate directly with the school districts we serve.

PHILOSOPHY

We believe the children on our buses are the most precious cargo. We take every necessary stride to guarantee that the students we are transporting arrive safely and happily to their destination.

SAFETY

Safety is our top priority at Superior Transportation Services. Students experience a safe ride to and from school as well as extracurricular trips. Our drivers perform inspections on each bus daily and complete annual training on bus safety. If they find an issue with their bus it is fixed by our on-site mechanic before they are allowed to drive it.

DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS

Many of our drivers have been with us for years. We require annual training before each school year to address any topics relevant to the needs of the students we are transporting. We also perform yearly MVR and background checks on each driver. All of our drivers are part of a random drug and alcohol testing program. We require each driver to receive at least eight hours of school bus in-service training each year. Drivers also have a supervised evaluation completed on an annual basis.

SAFETY TRAINING & AWARENESS

We provide the necessary training to instill in our drivers how critical safety is when transporting students. All drivers must demonstrate sufficient skills and knowledge to transport students in a safe and legal manner.

Our bus drivers must display the following competencies before transporting students:

• Safely operate the type of school bus they will be driving

• Handle emergency situations

• Understand student behavior including issues relating to students with disabilities

• Encourage orderly conduct of students on the bus and handle incidents of misconduct appropriately

• Know and understand relevant laws, rules of the road, and local school bus safety policies

• Safely load and unload students

BUS MAINTENANCE

Drivers are responsible for the daily cleaning and inspection of their buses. Our maintenance staff is responsible for regular bus maintenance. Each bus is inspected annually by the DOT.

COMMUNICATION

Our team is in constant communication with the school district including school board members, superintendent, parents, teachers, and students. Both owners are actively involved in the business on a daily basis. The school district communicates directly with the owners and we maintain an open communication system. We are committed to being the liaison between schools and parents, providing safe and seamless transportation for all children.

Leveraging the experience and knowledge of our team, along with a commitment to high standards and excellence, we have created systems to provide safe and efficient transportation for students. We can also provide consulting for school districts operating their own bus services who are considering contracted services, as well as, offer quotations to districts that already know they need contracted services.
